The best thing to do is to open an console as an administrator and execute the following lines:

cd %Windir%\SoftwareDistribution
del /F /S /Q Download


Or perhaps put it into a batch file and execute is once and a while.

Usage of the command uname is also very usefull in this case.

Looking at the kernel version will also give you an indication.

Hello,

is there an easy method to see which kind of SQL version you have.
For example on screen layouts and also 'about' doesn't mention enterprise, standard and so on....

It seems that with VMware Worstation 6.5 some items are running as a service. The source of the kernel are (on openSuSE 10.3) located at

/lib/modules/kernelversion-default/source/include

It toke me a small time to find correctly out where it was stored :)
