First Node Priority 1
Installation of the first node:
  • Log into the computer as domain administrator or equivalent.
  • Go to Start - Administrative Tools - Cluster Administrator
  • Select 'Create new cluster' and click OK

  • Provide the domain name (is normally already filled-in) as well the cluster name of this cluster.

  • Provide the computer name of the first node (if working locally => already filled-in)

  • Verify results and click Next

  • Provide the cluster IP address

  • Provide the 'Cluster Service Account' details (User name + Password)

  • Overview the summary and check if the quorum is allocated towards the correct drive (Drive Q: - with a size of 1GB)

Check that you have now two IP addresses on the public network interface in 'ipconfig'.
