The procedure has to be followed very clear
without by passing any step. This may result into a faulty and/or
instable system.
- Shutdown
both servers
- Power
down DAS/SAN
- Remove
one controller (Select the same side across all systems)
- Power up
DAS/SAN
- Power up
the first node. Check the event log for all events since the
startup, and check that there are no errors
- Boot to
OS - logon as local/domain administrator or equivalent.
- Launch
"Array Configuration Utility (ACU) - Select the controller through
which the DAS/SAN is connected.
Delete any configuration if present. Be
Careful: If multiple Clusters are working on same system, only
perform this step on the first installation.
- Create
an array or multiple arrays, conform the design document.
- Create
logical disk(s), conform the design document.

If multiple clusters are connected to
the same SAN. Assign the appropriated disks towards the
appropriated systems. Is performed through Selective Storage
Presentation (SSP).
- Launch
"Windows Disk Management".
This may take a while at first time when the disks are ready to be
used by the system.

Initialize all new disks, but do not convert them.
- Restart
node.
- Launch
"Windows Disk Management".
Create New partitions - Primary / NTFS / Format
Assign drive letters conform the design document.
For testing purpose can you create a file on each
drive. You can edit them at your best feeling.

- Shutdown
this node
- Boot up
the second node.
- Launch
"Windows Disk Manager"
If necessary Assign the drive letter
Mark as Active
Label each drive from OS
For testing purpose you
can edit each file again.

- Shutdown
second node.
- Boot
first node
Check the test files. If OK, delete them all.
- Shutdown
both.
