It's required to configure a group for the MS DTC
Services.
- Rename
group that contains resource 'Disk Z:' to 'MSDTC Group'
- Rename
the disk Z: resource to 'MSDTC Physical disk'
- Right
click the group.
Select New - Resource
- Fill in
the name 'MSDTC IP Address'.
Select as resource type 'IP Address'.
Click Next
- Click
Next
- Click
Next
- Fill in
the IP Address for this resource (Should be on the production
network) provided by the design document.
Click Finish
- Click
OK
- Right
click the group.
Select New - Resource
- Fill in
the name 'MSDTC Network Name'.
Select as resource type 'Network Name'.
Click Next
- Click
Next
- Select
'MSDTC IP Address' and press 'Add'.
Click Next
- Fill the
name provided by the design document.
Select 'DNS Registration Must Succeed'.
Click Finish
- Click
OK
- Right
click the group.
Select New - Resource
- Fill in
the name 'MSDTC Resource'.
Select as resource type 'Distributed Transaction
Coordinator'.
Click Next
- Click
Next
- Select
'Physical Disk' And 'Network Name', press 'Add'.
Click Finish
- Click
OK
- Right
click on the 'MSDTC Group' and select 'Bring Online'. Or Press
'Ctrl+B' when selected.
- Verify
if everything comes properly on-line.
