SQL Server 2005 installation on a cluster does
not install all of the workstation components on the second node
(or others, if in case). To complete this we need to logon on them
and run the SQL Server 2005 setup program, but only install the
Workstation Components.
This should be done, before applying any service
pack to the SQL Server.
- Logon to
second node with domain administrator or equivalent.
- Go to
the disk location where the software is residing.
Double click 'Splash.hta'
- Click
'Server components, tools, Books Online, and Samples'
- End User
License Agreement:
Select 'I accept the licensing terms and conditions'.
Press Next
